Steer Ethelston are able to provide professional advice on a whole range of matters in relation to rural land & property.

With climate change and rising energy costs, carbon management for both land and property is becoming increasingly relevant in the countryside.

Whether your query relates to improving your energy efficiency or undertaking a sustainable building project, call us and we can discuss how Steer Ethelston Rural can help.

In 2006 Steer Ethelston converted a traditional stable block to new sustainable office premises.

Situated on an organic farm in the Cheshire countryside, the office boasts a number of sustainable features including sheeps wool insulation, rainwater collection and reuse of building materials.

The development embraced the environment from the outset. Fundamentally this has involved good design to maximise natural light and reduce reliance on energy.

Having installed biomass burners, fuelled by wood from the farm, a previously under utilised resource has been put to good use and in the process reduces the companys running costs.
